Children's Ministry

Welcome to our Children’s Ministry Page. Our mission at First Baptist Church Owensville (FBCO) is to Welcome kids, Love kids, & Point kids to Jesus. Here on this page you will be able to find updates, events, and happenings. We are excited and hope you join in us on our journey.

We would like to introduce to you the Leaders of The Children’s Ministry,  Jack and Becca Allen.

Jack is the student resource officer at the Sullivan School district and Ms. Becca is a stay at home mom. They have 4 children Christopher, 10, Matthew, 5, Andrew, 3, and Natalie, 1.

Becca is the Team Kids K-2nd grade leader of our Wednesday night program and always has exciting lessons planned to keep the kids coming back and wanting more.

If you have a child in the grades 3rd-5th, you will get the joy in meeting Mr. Ron and Mrs. Krista Hardecke. They reside here in Owensville and raise pigs and cows. They have 4 children Jim, Rachel, Anna, and Laura. They are all grown, but Ms. Krista enjoys kiddos so much she felt led to lead our Wednesday Night Route 66 Bible Study.

She takes them through the journey of the 66 books of the Bible. This year is spent in the New Testament. Next year will be spent traveling through the Old Testament. Learning areas include: prayer time, geography, mission projects, timeline of the world, Bible lessons in chronological order, hospitality, Bible verse memory, song memorization and getting to know who Jesus is!

Please meet Loren and Stacee Busenhart. Loren and Stacee live in Gerald and have 3 Children Brandon, 19, Destinee, 16, and Payton, 9.

The Busenhart’s have been in the Children’s Ministry for over 15 years. They are now leaders of the Children’s Sunday School department and currently the Kindergarten Sunday School Teachers. Mr. Loren is a little big kid himself and together him and Stacee have a passion and heart for kids.
